I find it difficult to keep up with my blog these days, but I want to share some tidbits from my journal about what God is doing in my life.
~Paying attention to the world, the flesh and the devil will keep you from walking in liberty.
~Romans 8:1-2
"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death."
~He accepts us, includes us, and receives us as His children whether we are good, bad, or ugly. He accepts us before we sin; He accepts us while we sin; He accepts us after we sin.
~Isaiah 43:1
"Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine!"
~Live your identity!!!
~Ephesians 5:1-2a &8
"Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and give Himself up for us."
8 For once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of the light."
~2 Corinthians 10:5
"Take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, and examine it in the light of the Word of God under the guidance of the Spirit."
~Child of light, don't let the devil lure you back into the darkness. His demons are like roaches that disappear into the shadows when the light is turned on.
~Romans 6:17-18
"But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of teaching to which you were entrusted. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness."
~The woman who walks in freedom is a woman who has learned to trust God to heal her sorrow.
~He has already paid the price for our shortcomings and He loves me in spite of them.
So much of this information is from scripture, Bible Study lessons, or other men and women who have gone before me in this journey. I have found great strength in these tidbits. I am realizing that we all have a history, but it is actually His-story. He has taken me from rags to riches, a slave to a daughter of the King. You are the God of my story; write every word for your glory. Cling to his promises today. "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, He is a new creation; the old is gone, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17."
